Anything that can help me get dinner on the table on busy evenings, quicker and easier, is a favorite and I have to tell you these Tyson Thin Sliced Chicken Breasts are a new staple around my house! I truly love that I can just grab them out of the freezer and cook them straight away without any waiting for thawing! Who knew you could grill, cook or bake these chicken breasts right from frozen? But I’m here to tell you that you can! We picked ours up at Walmart, which were found in the meat department in the center aisle bunker. I spotted them straight away, and grabbed a couple of bags to bring home. Easy weeknight meal planning!
These Cheesy Jalapeno Bacon Chicken Roll Ups only have 5 ingredients and are SO delicious! All you need are the Tyson Thin Sliced Chicken Breasts, cheese of your choice (we used Pepper Jack and Provolone), white or green onions and bacon. It’s pretty simple to put together. I removed the chicken from the bag, and ran it under cold water. Just a swish. Only to make the chicken easier to roll. Otherwise, it was a completely frozen breast. I blotted it dry with a paper towel. I started by stacking the cheese, the green onions (we also make this with finely diced white onions), jalapenos and then topped with the bacon. Roll it up and secure it with a wet toothpick or two so it doesn’t come apart while cooking.Look how pretty this looks? Little Cheesy Jalapeno Bacon Chicken Roll Up just chillin’ on the grill. Cook until a meat thermometer reads at least 165 degrees F when inserted into the thickest part of the chicken. This baby was almost finished.
We make these so often, I usually have to pound my chicken down so much to even get it thin enough to roll it, but these Tyson Thin Sliced Chicken Breasts are the perfect solution! You can serve them straight off the grill, or dress them up a bit and put them in a sandwich roll with more cheese, jalapenos and some condiments. Ready to make some Cheesy Jalapeno Bacon Chicken Roll Ups?
- Tyson® Individually Frozen Thin Sliced Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, 1 per person
- jalapenos, chopped
- strips of bacon, almost cooked (they will continue cooking on the grill)
- green onion, diced (white chopped onion is delicious too!)
- 1-2 slices of cheese per person, your choice
- Lay the chicken out on a flat surface, stack all the ingredients and roll up.
- Secure in place with a toothpick or two.
- Grill until chicken reaches an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees F.
- Serve as is, on a bun or over pasta, rice or quinoa! Remove toothpicks before serving.
