I have had so much on my plate recently, that I have had practically no time at all to write. Of course my definition of no time to write and your definition of ‘no time to write’ are probably somewhat different.
At first I thought I was just having some trouble with getting inspired due to all the stress, but that isn’t it at all. In fact if anything, I am more inspired than normal to write. I even know what I want to write, but finding the time seems to be the issue.
When I thought it was still a matter of inspiration:
- I tried going back to a former WIP that I hadn’t been working on lately. I wrote 128 words and then I was stuck.
- So, I started a few new stories on my cell phone while sitting in hospital waiting rooms. Collectively I got 734 words. But then I got bored and writing on an iPhone just isn’t all that easy.
- So, I spent some time editing a former nanowrimo project. I trimmed about 5000 words. Then I couldn’t find anymore words I wanted to eliminate so I gave up.
- So, I spent time staring at photographs I use for inspiration. A whole new idea cropped up in my mind, but I have no time to write it.
I really hope life settles down soon so I can get back to what I love.
